We, at UCD Formula Student, are a motorsport racing team with over 60 dedicated students who are working on developing an electric car to compete against over 130 universities across 30 countries in the Formula Student 2025 competition held this summer in Silverstone.

UCDFS is Ireland's first electric Formula Student team. We first competed in Formula Student UK in 2019, achieving 8th place in the Electric Vehicle Category in our rookie year. Now, in our fifth year, we aim to build on last year's success - including our runner's up finish in the business plan presentation. 

Our team is divided into the mechanical, powertrain and operations team, each putting in hard work to ensure success for UCDFS at the 2025 Formula Student UK competition.

We are quite active on social media and we post regular updates on the work we do. Our sponsors also receive a newsletter consisting of an in-depth dive into our progress and our plans as we approach the competition.
